Allied Health Assistant
Our Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) work under the direct supervision of our qualified therapists to help children practise skills and reach their therapy goals. The supervising therapist/s liaise with families to set a program with specific, relevant and short term goals, which is regularly reviewed and revised as required. The AHA can deliver home and community-based sessions to promote development and generalisation of skills. AHAs engage children in fun, goal-based activities that build confidence and independence.
Examples of AHA support include:
-
Helping children practise motor skills, social interactions, regulation, communication, and/or daily routines
-
Supporting group programs and play-based learning
-
Encouraging confidence through regular, structured practice
