Group Programs
We offer a range of evidence-based group programs, facilitated by one or more therapists. Groups range from 4 – 8 children. Groups are delivered either at CTS or in community settings. Each term, programs are offered based on the needs/priorities of children and families.
Babies & Toddlers

Engage. Play. Learn.
A fun small group for toddlers to learn sharing, turn taking, and interaction skills. Children build connections with peers and families while targeting motor, play, social, and communication goals in a supportive environment.
Age: 1-3 years

Pre-School

Kids Gym
Children develop motor, social, and communication skills while building connections in a sensory gym setting. Activities prepare children for playgrounds, play centres, and kindergarten, with individualised goals and plenty of fun in a supportive small group.

Social Learning
Children build social skills in a neuroaffirming, inclusive space. Programs cover understanding social cues, empathy, conversations, and friendships. Through group activities, role-play, and guided discussions, children develop confidence, emotional awareness, and tools for positive interactions.

Prepping for Prep
This school readiness program builds confidence and independence. Children practise following schedules, completing tasks, moving between spaces, organising belongings, asking for help, and basic emotional regulation. Each child receives an individualised report and About Me profile to share with school.
Age: 4-6 years (starting school)

Group Hydro
Our Group Hydrotherapy program will provide participants with an opportunity to access a group hydrotherapy program. Focusing on strength, cardiovascular and balance. The program also allows participants to gain social connections with other participants who are similar aged while completing their hydrotherapy program.

Sensory Stompers
Children explore movement, play, and teamwork through activities including ball skills, obstacle courses, and sensory play. With a focus on cooperation and participation, the group helps children build motor skills and social connections in a fun, outdoor environment.

School Aged

A water-based group program targeting strength, balance, and cardiovascular fitness. Participants build social connections with peers while completing hydrotherapy exercises in a fun, supportive environment tailored to their needs.

Primary school children learn to recognise and understand internal body signals and emotions. Using fun experiments and activities, children increase interoceptive awareness to support self-regulation and emotional wellbeing, guided by experienced Occupational Therapists.

Getting Ready for High School
A supportive group for Year 6 students preparing for high school. The program focuses on building confidence, organisation, time management, social communication, and emotional regulation. Practical strategies and peer connections help children feel prepared for the transition.

Social Sevens
A supportive group for Year 7 students to navigate their first year of high school. Sessions focus on problem solving, learning strategies, and social interactions. Tailored to meet individual goals and needs, the group fosters confidence, resilience, and connection with peers.

Story Champs
Children develop oral narrative skills in an engaging, structured program. Sessions focus on storytelling, generating personal and fictional stories, improving comprehension, expanding vocabulary, interpreting, and retelling information. With interactive activities, follow-up tasks, and pre- and post-assessments, children build confidence in communication and narrative language.

Learning to Ride on Two Wheels
Children gain confidence in bike riding through intensive practice in a supportive group environment. Sessions combine on- and off-bike activities, paced to each child’s abilities, with structured daily home practice to encourage steady skill progression.
